02-17-2016 Point.io Announces Significant App Composer Customer Growth

The New Rapid App Development Platform has a Fast-Growing Customer List

February 17, 2016 (Philadelphia) — Point.io, a leading BPM and business app development company, announces significant customer acquisition following the official launch of its flagship product, App Composer. Since its release, Point.io has secured ten new customer contracts for App Composer ranging in value from $25,000 to $250,000.  New partnerships consist of expanded Fortune 500 client contracts and multiple first contracts with mid-market firms in the telecommunications, construction, property management, events and legal industries. App Composer is currently licensed by a growing list of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, for mission-critical business applications.

“We are thrilled with App Composer’s recent customer success,” said Ron Rock, CEO of Point.io.” Each customer we perform for turns into three more in the pipeline – Point.io is creating a brand in key industry verticals and we plan to capitalize on this industry specific knowledge and momentum.”

Rock continued, “We are still in the early stages of the enterprise mobile application revolution. As companies begin to see their competitors moving into the mobile age in a cost effective and efficient way, it’s just a matter of time until the rest begin to follow. In terms of enterprises that can benefit from mobilizing their workforces, there’s an abundance of low hanging fruit.”

Founded by BPM experts with more than 20 years of experience at leading enterprise software firms Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Pegasystems (NASDAQ: PEGA), Point.io is built to provide customers with the ability to create collaborative, device-agnostic business apps while automatically integrating the security technology equivalent to a Swiss bank.

Point.io has the potential to serve a wide range of industries. Current highlights include construction and property management, in addition to other industries.

  • Construction: E. Allen Reeves, Inc. is a fourth generation construction manager, general contractor and design builder. The firm focuses on private institutional clients and facilities.  Reeves licensed Point.io’s App Composer to deliver apps for in-field change orders, contract negotiations and lien release documents, with all being integrated with DocuSign. The apps work on all devices, from iOS and Android to desktop.  “We looked at many off-the-shelf solutions, but ultimately chose Point.io,” said Rob Reeves, CEO of E. Allen Reeves, Inc.“With App Composer, we were able to build out apps that automate the way we do business, where all of the other solutions required us to have to adapt to the way their app works.  The speed, flexibility and cost were similar to packaged apps, but the results were tailored exactly to our needs.”
  • Property Management: Philadelphia-based PMC Property Group is a real estate development company focusing on the renovation and conversion of urban commercial buildings into modern residential apartments across the country.  PMC chose Point.io to deliver a catalog of apps to enhance the tenant experience within their properties.  “Modern amenities to attract a new generation of discriminating clients is a strategic differentiation for PMC,” said Chris McElwee of PMC Property Group. “With App Composer, we are able to deliver a suite of apps tailored to the specific features of each property.  Point.io even built out a custom app for a community of merchants in each neighborhood.”
  • Other: New clients representing a variety of industries are now utilizing App Composer. A national event hosting company is using the technology to rapidly build apps that provide attendees with event agendas, speaker bios, presentations, voting and survey capabilities and venue-specific information.  A commercial real estate broker firm has selected App Composer to build custom apps for prospective clients that simplify and secure business processes.  App Composer is used across industries for mission-critical uses, including field service, board room management, HR onboarding, and multiple-signing applications.

App Composer is available to businesses today. The platform offers the industry’s lowest per-month pricing model with value-added options for higher levels of support and performance. Point.io is also developing industry-specific catalogues of ready-built applications for multiple verticals. These ready-built options can be customized to meet the specific demands of each customer without the need for developers.

In addition to significant traction with direct customers, Point.io is in the process of finalizing OEM partnerships to rapidly increase business development and delivery capabilities. Additional SaaS licensing options will be rolled-out early this year.

Salesforce and APIaaS

Getting more out of Salesforce.com – by Tim Panagos and Ellen Brockley
